The Foldpic collection / Postcards

Your view. On their fridge.

Foldpic's postcard maker puts four postcards on one sheet: your photos on the picture side, a proper message, address and stamp layout on the back. Print it double-sided, cut once across and once down, and you have four postcards you can actually post.

Why make a postcards at home

Postcards are the one home-print format where the back has to land exactly behind the front. Foldpic mirrors the back side for a short-edge flip, so each message side sits behind its own picture.

Make four different cards, or one design repeated four times for sending the same view to several people.

Real postcard backs

A caption line for where and when, a message area, a divider, address lines and a stamp box. Ready for the post on 200 gsm card or heavier.

One to four designs

Two pages make one postcard printed four times; eight pages make four different ones. The sheet always fills.

Cut marks, not guesswork

Tick marks on the sheet edges show the two cuts. A paper trimmer makes four clean postcards in under a minute.

A6 landscape

From A4 each postcard is 148 × 105 mm, the standard A6 postcard size; from US Letter, 5.5 × 4.25 in.

A few folds from finished

4 steps, printed on both sides. The full instruction sheet with checks and a common-mistakes box comes with your PDF.

1Print both sides. Landscape, 100% scale, flip on the short edge.

2Check the backs line up. Hold the sheet to a window.

3Cut along the marks. The small ticks on the edges mark the cuts: one across the middle, one down the middle.

4Write, stamp, send. Most postal services accept home-made postcards on card of at least 200 gsm.

Postcards questions

Can I post home-printed postcards?

Usually yes, if they are on card of about 200 gsm or heavier, the standard postcard size, and the address side is clear. Check your postal service's rules for minimum size and thickness.

My printer cannot print on both sides. What now?

Print side A, put the sheet back into the tray printed side down with the same edge leading, then print side B. Try it on plain paper first.

The backs came out upside down.

Your printer flipped on the other edge. Reprint with the other flip setting (short edge vs long edge).

What paper is best for postcards?

Double-sided matte card, 200 to 300 gsm. Glossy photo paper usually only prints well on one side, so it is not ideal for postcards.
