A little more about this look
Big Day Birthday is the card you make the night before the party. The front carries one photo of the birthday person with their name underneath in a round, friendly sans, and the coral accent makes even a quick phone snapshot look like it belongs on a card. Open it and the left side holds a second photo with a short caption, a throwback works well here, the baby photo or the one from last year's cake.
The right side is the greeting itself: a big headline you can change to anything, a message block for a few honest lines and a signature line at the bottom. The back is left quiet apart from a small made-at-home line, so the card looks finished from every side. Keep the message short enough to read at a glance, three or four sentences at most, and pick a front photo with the face near the middle so the frame does not crop it.
The card prints on one side of a single portrait sheet, so any home printer works and nothing has to line up on the back. The inside half prints upside down along the top of the sheet; that is correct, because the first fold turns it the right way up. Print at 100% or Actual size, never Fit to page. Card of 160 to 200 gsm stands up on a shelf; plain paper works but feels like a leaflet. Fold the top half behind, then the left half behind the right, crease with a ruler and press it under a book. This card holds 2 photos.
How you will assemble it
1Print the sheet. One page, portrait, 100% scale, one side.
2Fold the top half behind. Keep the print on the outside.
3Fold left behind right. Fold the left half back behind the right half so the front ends up on top.
4Press it flat. Put the card under a heavy book for a few minutes so it stays closed.
