A little more about this look
Quiet Year is a small desk calendar with a different photo for every month. The design is white and minimal, a single clean sans for the month name and the dates, so the photos and the year itself carry all the colour. Months alternate three layouts: a photo on the left with the dates on the right, a wide photo above the dates for landscapes, and two smaller photos beside the grid for months with more than one moment worth keeping.
The dates are filled in for you. Pick the start month and year in the editor and every card gets the right month name and the right first weekday; you can start the week on Monday or Sunday. A good way to fill it: go back through last year's camera roll and choose the best photo from each month, so next year's calendar is a record of the one before.
The twelve months print four to a sheet on three landscape sheets, one side only, and the month grids are filled in for you from the start month you choose. Use 200 to 300 gsm card, print at 100%, cut each sheet into quarters on the tick marks, stack the months in order and clip them with a binder clip folded back into a stand. The calendar uses 15 photos, at least one for every month.
How you will assemble it
1Print 3 sheets. Landscape, 100% scale, one side only.
2Cut along the marks. Cut once across the middle and once down the middle of every sheet, using the tick marks on the edges.
3Stack and clip. Stack the months in order with the first month on top.
