Mixbook PDF download: why you can't, and what to do instead
Mixbook does not offer a PDF download of your photo book; its own help page says you cannot download your scrapbook as a PDF. If you want a file you can print yourself, you need a tool built around the PDF, such as Foldpic.

Mixbook is one of the biggest online photo book services, with more than 6 million customers and an editor that can auto-design a book from a few questions using Story Mode. Its business is printing and shipping the finished book, which is why the design tool is free and why the PDF stays on their servers.
That is a fair trade if you want a hardcover or a lay-flat album delivered to your door. It is frustrating if you wanted to print a copy on your own printer, keep a backup, or send the file to a local print shop. This page lays out what each option gives you, as of September 2026.

What Mixbook is great at
- Hardcover and lay-flat books with thick pages you cannot make on a home printer.

When to use Foldpic instead
- You want the PDF itself, to print at home, reprint later, or take to a copy shop.
- You want a small, quick album tonight rather than a shipped book next week.
- You are making several copies for family and do not want to pay per book.
- You are making a zine or an accordion album, which Mixbook does not do at all.

Can I download my Mixbook project as a PDF?
No. Mixbook's help page for online scrapbooking says you cannot download your scrapbook as a PDF. You can order a printed copy or share a digital preview.
Can I move my Mixbook design to Foldpic?
Not automatically. You would download your original photos and rebuild the book in a Foldpic template, which autofill makes quick for 16 pages.
Is Foldpic a replacement for a Mixbook hardcover?
